Much of the power of SocialBacklinker Pro lies in its random backlinking options, which posts deep links to random posts at scheduled, but random intervals. This guide will show you how to set up and configure this deep-syndication of posts.

Normally, syndication takes the form of posting your content out to other sites as and when posts are published. That’s all well and good, but has a few inherent problems:

  • Posts made before the syndication plugin was installed are ignored
  • All sites get the same post at the same time
  • Older posts may drop out of the search engine index

The Random Backlinking options address these points, as well as provide the core of the SocialBacklinker Pro mindset – that you can have a great many accounts all posting different content at different times.

Let’s say you have 20 accounts at various networks. To get them posting randomly, you would:

  1. Select the accounts using the relevant checkboxes
  2. Click With Selected: Edit to open the Mass Edit toolbox
  3. Set Post Random  to Yes
  4. Set the Mins between posts ‘Between’ box to 350 and the ‘To’ box to 750
  5. Set the % Chance of posting ‘Between’ box to 40 and the ‘To’ box to 70
  6. Click Save

The Mass Edit toolbox has now set your accounts up with randomly selected values between the ones you entered. These accounts will now pick random posts from your blog, and post backlinks to them around six times a day.

The crucial points are:

  • Accounts post at different periods
  • Accounts post different content

This looks a whole lot more natural than syndicating to loads of accounts at once, and gives your older posts a chance to get backlinks too.

would these be the settings you would use alongside the sleeper cell strategy?

  • http://www.socialbacklinker.com socialbacklinker

It’s what I’d recommend for most sites and strategies when linking back to your blog. Posting less than half a dozen times a day to each account flies way under the radar and leaves it open to also use the fuzzer or RSS backlinker on the same account without it posting hundreds of times a day and looking like spam.

With the Sleeper Cells strategy the only thing different is the post start date.

Can you set up cron jobs for sites that don’t get many visitors yet. If so, how?

Disqus generic email templateYou can – all you need to do is set up a cron job that loads the URL to a single blog post, something like:
    wget http://www.example.com/blog/post.html

If you have 25 different websites to promote, can they all be promoted on the same accounts – say 100 accounts, or does each account have to feature only one website?

You can absolutely reuse accounts if you wish – I tend to group them into different niches for groups of sites, but sure, you can add the same accounts to different blogs.
